Japanese outdoor label South2 West8 has reunited with Reebok to introduce the IPF Mule, a reimagining of the classic Instapump Fury as a slip-on silhouette.
Known for its functional and technical designs inspired by tenkara, a traditional Japanese method of fly-fishing, South West8 takes the high-tech Instapump Fury sneaker from the ’90s and remixes it in a way that bridges outdoor heritage with a relaxed lifestyle approach that feels at home in urban spaces.
The Nepenthes sublabel presents the Instapump Fury Mule in two colorways, black and green, each featuring ripstop uppers, cozy PrimaLoft insulation, leather mudguards and toe caps, and classic Instapump Fury details such as the inflatable bladders at the tongues and Hexalite-cushioned midsoles. S2W8’s stag logo is embroidered on the forefoot, with additional custom branding found on the footbeds and pull tabs.
The South2 West8 x Reebok Instapump Fury Mule drops July 18th on the Nepenthes website (10am ET) and at select global retailers. Check out both colorways below.
