Space Jam: A New Legacy, the Warner Bros. Pictures film starring LeBron James and the Looney Tunes, is almost here. To celebrate, Nike and Converse are dropping a fun-filled collection of footwear and apparel for the whole family.
The star of the show is the LeBron 19, which James wears in the film. Its design includes a double-chambered Air Max unit in the heel and a newly shaped Zoom Air forefoot. This platform cushioning system provides a reliable underfoot ride for James as well as an otherworldly, space-age kind of look inspired by the futuristic elements of the film. The Nike LeBron 19 will launch in a “Jersey” colorway to match the Tune Squad’s uniforms and a cleaner “Sweatsuit” colorway that actually features maps of the Nike campus and the Warner Bros. lot.
Accompanying the LeBron 19 is a set of three LeBron 18 Lows in kids and adult sizes that feature a “character versus character” theme, including Bugs vs. Marvin the Martian, Tweety Bird vs. Sylvester, and Road Runner vs. Wile. E. Coyote. An Air Force 1 that features Bugs and Lola Bunny will also drop in adult and kids sizes, while a Bugs LeBron 18 will come exclusively in kids sizing. On the apparel side, Nike offers “Tune Squad” and “Goon Squad” Dri-FIT uniforms made from smooth, shiny Durasheen fabric and a Tune Squad varsity jacket.
On the Converse side of things, we see the Looney Tunes take over the brand’s most popular silhouettes, including of course, the Chuck 70. Highlighting the Converse offerings is the “Lolo” Pro Leather, which features a micro-perforated leather upper, an embroidered Lolo Bunny graphic on the heel, a fur Star Chevron logo, and pops of pink on the mesh lining. The accompanying apparel is a court-ready collection that includes a pullover hoodie, tee, shorts, and a 360 backpack.
