Following their third collection released this past June, STAUD and New Balance continue their multi-year partnership with a new collection for Fall 2021.
Inspired by the theme “classic then, classic now,” the collection includes new colorways of the 574 and 57/40. The overtly classic take on the 574 comes dressed in heritage materials such as nylon, leather, and hairy suede. The 57/40, a contemporary chunky silhouette that derives its design from the 57/40, embraces its modernity with a translucent toe box, a first for the model. Both come with a neutral-colored base with bold pops of primary colors throughout. The sizing on both models will be unisex.
Drawing inspiration from historic moments in sports history and early ’80s workout videos, the bold colors from the footwear also appears on the STAUD x New Balance apparel. Offerings include a puffer vest, crop top and tight set, tracksuit, and sweatsuit. “This collaboration embodies the perfect union between two brands proving that great style is an evolution, not a revolution,” says STAUD co-founder and creative director, Sarah Staudinger.
The STAUD x New Balance “Classic Then, Classic Now” Fall 2021 collection launches on October 26th on staud.clothing and newbalance.com. The footwear styles are priced at $150 USD while the apparel ranges from $70 to $180 USD.
