Original Story (01/31/26): The Stranger Things x Nike Air Foamposite One is a collaboration that leans fully into the show’s eerie energy and supernatural worldbuilding. The Netflix hit premiered in 2016 and quickly became a decade-defining pop culture phenomenon. After years of anticipation, the series concluded its final season on December 31st, 2025.
Now Nike is giving the franchise one more footwear moment, using Foamposite as the canvas.
Unlike previous Stranger Things sneakers that leaned on nostalgic ’80s references and vintage sportswear styling, the Foamposite collaboration is more dramatic. The shell features a stormy, lightning graphic across the upper, delivering a visual that feels straight out of the show’s darker, nail-biting scenes.
Nike keeps the details story-driven, too: red-chrome mini Swooshes hit the forefoot, an inverted version of Penny Hardaway’s logo on the heel, and Vecna-inspired graphics appear on the insoles—which paired with Vecna’s ominous “I found you” line on the pulltabs—tie the sneaker directly to the final villain era of the series.
The sneaker itself gives off an “alternate dimension” vibe, and that’s the point of this collab. The Foamposite’s alien-like shape is the perfect pairing with the Upside Down, helping bring the silhouette’s natural sci-fi edge to the surface.
This collaboration follows Nike’s larger end-of-series celebration, when Nike and Converse teamed up for a full Stranger Things finale season collection packed with ’80s-inspired footwear and apparel.
The Stranger Things x Nike Air Foamposite One is expected to release on February 13th via SNKRS and select retailers. Check the pair out below.
Update (02/06/25): The Stranger Things Foamposite will be available February 13th in Los Angeles at the Foot Locker pop-up, though the global release has been potentially pushed back to February 27th.
