Nike has delved into the Upside Down to bring Stranger Things fans a new iteration of the Dunk Low. As the hit series approaches its conclusion, viewers can tune into the fifth and final season in style.
Arriving in a Phantom and Midnight Navy colorway, the Stranger Things Dunk Low is equipped with a worn, cracked, and brittle leather upper that evokes survival and decay. Nike logos appear mysteriously upside down, complemented by stained laces and aged midsoles. A branded window on the flap above the Swoosh nods to the show’s 1987 setting—the same year that the rare Nike Air Dunk was released, which this pair is based on.
The details don’t stop there. Stranger Things branding appears on the inner tongue tags in the show’s signature neon red, as well as on the Upside Down-inspired graphic insoles. The shoes also come with various pins referencing the series—Hellfire Club, Bradley’s Big Buy, WSQK FM—plus a rubber chicken. Lastly, Nike revives its 1980s-era packaging to complete the pair with a retro finish, while a map of Hawkins is printed on the wrapping paper.
Nike and Stranger Things launched their first collaboration in 2019, releasing a total of nine sneakers with colorways inspired by Hawkins High School and Independence Day, as well as the Starcourt Mall and the Upside Down.
