Sydney-based streetwear boutique SUPPLY has teamed up with French footwear brand Salomon for a “Down Under” collaboration on the classic XT-4 OG trail runner.
Capturing the connection between two hemispheres, the SUPPLY x Salomon XT-4 OG highlights how a shared spirit of expedition can unite geographies and landscapes through the pursuit of discovery. In this case, Australia’s coastal caves meets the catacombs of Paris on a sneaker designed to look like they are literally from “down under” …the ground that is.
The SUPPLY XT-4 OG comes dressed in black with grey speckling on the overlays and midsoles, almost as if it’s been uncovered from being buried underground. For the first time ever, Salomon inverts the branding on its footwear, nodding to Australia’s “Down Under” nickname. This upside-down approach is similar to what fellow Aussie retailer Up There has done with its sneaker collabs, though far less subtle. Additional details include “SUP” and “PLY” replacing the usual “LAB” branding on the toe boxes, plus a touch of SUPPLY’s signature blue hue on the tongue tag.
The SUPPLY x Salomon XT-4 OG drops globally on November 20th at 6pm ET on the Supply Store website. Pairs will also be available November 21st in-store at SUPPLY (Sydney and Melbourne), Salomon Sydney (The Galeries), and Salomon Melbourne (Emporium), as well as online on the Salomon website for customers in Australia and New Zealand.
