Japanese contemporary artist Takashi Murakami is partnering with CASETiFY for the third chapter of their collaboration. Following their “MR. DOB” and “KAIKAI and KIKI” drops, the “FLOWERS BLOOM” collection celebrates the legacy of Murakami’s iconic FLOWER motif, widely recognized in pop culture, major galleries, and the fashion world.
The renowned flower motif—symbolizing joy, color, and creativity—is featured on the designs of travel luggage, phone cases, FLOWERIAN AirPod cases, and other accessories. The FLOWERS Ripple Carry-On Suitcase comes fully decorated with rippling flowers in five vibrant colorways: Blue, Black, Red, Pink, and a brand-new Rainbow colorway. Another standout piece is the limited-edition Multi-Flowers Phone Case: Rainbow Camera Ring Edition, which adorns the smartphone camera ring with rainbow-colored lettering.
Murakami and CASETiFY also introduce a playful collectible set with the FLOWERS Ripple Phone Case Blind Boxes. This unique format adds a layer of surprise and collectibility, allowing enthusiasts to engage with Murakami’s world and his iconic FLOWERS motif in an entirely new way. Collectors may purchase individual blind boxes or acquire a set of four, increasing their chance to receive the RAINBOW case as a coveted rare variant, and the shimmering FLOWERS 18K GOLD phone case as an ultra-rare version. The FLOWERS 18K GOLD Phone Case is a wearable artwork piece, incorporating gold as a direct homage to the centuries-old Japanese tradition of gold foil, a theme Murakami often references to bridge historical aesthetics with pop culture.

FLOWERS, one of Murakami’s most recognizable motifs, draws inspiration from his studies of Nihonga Japanese painting, while also giving the nod to the classical theme of setsugetsuka (snow, moon, flowers). By interpreting these traditional forms and connecting them to contemporary art, Murakami developed his own iteration of FLOWERS, which embodies his concept of ‘Superflat.’ The use of gold in particular pays homage to the refined technique of gold foil in traditional Japanese art, a theme Murakami has often referenced to bridge historical aesthetics with contemporary culture.
