Taller De Rafa is taking its automotive-inspired aesthetic from the garage to footwear with its latest Nike collaboration. The Bronx label is stepping into footwear for the first time with the Air Max Goadome Low, reworking the boot-inspired silhouette with a dark brown finish and garage-ready details.
Founded by siblings Rafael and Genesis Valverde, Taller De Rafa has built its world around New York, cars, and hands-on design. That influence comes through clearly on the ACG Air Max Goadome Low, which swaps a traditional sneaker treatment for something that feels closer to a well-worn pair of work boots.
The upper is dressed in brown leather with a visibly aged finish, while black mesh covers the tongue and collar. Silver hardware runs up the lacing system, with hexagonal eyestays giving the shoe a bolt-like appearance. A small metallic Swoosh sits near the heel alongside a perforated Taller De Rafa branding, while glow-in-the-dark blue hits on the outsole break up the otherwise brown-and-black construction.
The details continue with a wrench-shaped hangtag and multiple lace options, including boot-style laces and thinner leather alternatives. Even the packaging follows the same direction, carrying an oil-stained finish that ties the shoe back to Taller De Rafa’s roots. There’s also a secret zipper pocket on the tongue tag.
The Taller De Rafa x Nike Air Max Goadome Low will get an early launch at a pop-up in the Bronx on September 19th, open from 12-5pm at 1439 Inwood Ave. The official global release takes place on September 25th via SNKRS. Check out the shoe below.
