Teddy Santis’ Debut New Balance MADE in USA Collection

Teddy Santis, founder and creative director of NYC apparel and lifestyle brand Aimé Leon Dore, has officially announced the release of his first seasonal collection as Creative Director for New Balance MADE in USA.

The collection was teased by Santis last March with a preview of 16 different pairs that included two colorways of the 990v1, seven of the 990v2, and seven of the 990v3. The first drop from the MADE in USA SS22 collection includes three of these pairs, one of each silhouette, dressed in heritage grey.

The collection as a whole is a celebration of the 40th anniversary of the iconic 990 silhouette. Santis’s vision for MADE is focused on designs that highlight New Balance’s history, heritage, and craftsmanship through product, materials, and use of color. This vision is segmented it into three distinct pillars:

elevated legacy – Celebrating the foundational classic colors of the brand in premium executions
uniform staple – Easy to wear colors that become everyday wardrobe mainstays
quickstrike – Pushing innovative colors and materials that provide a unique take on key models

The first drop from the MADE in USA SS22 collection also includes a range of apparel comprised of everyday staples with premium craftsmanship and classic sportswear design. Hoodies, crewnecks, long-sleeve and short-sleeve tees, sweatpants, and shorts are all offered in four colorways: Athletic Grey, Black, Natural Indigo, and Oatmeal Heather.

The first drop from the New Balance MADE in USA SS22 collection will be available on newbalance.com and at select global retailers beginning April 28th. Additional styles will be introduced each month. Check out the first drop and the MADE in USA SS22 lookbook below.
