LaMelo Ball and PUMA Hoops are teaming up with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise to release a collection of TMNT-themed footwear and apparel.
First launched as a comic book by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird in 1984, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles quickly grew popular amongst both children and adult audiences. By 1996, TMNT mania had already taken over arcades, toy stores, and movie theaters. There’s also been various TMNT sneaker collabs over the years, most recently being the adidas Shell Toes released in 2024 for TMNT’s 40th anniversary.
The latest TMNT sneaker collab with PUMA is comprised of four shoes: two pairs of MB.04s, a pair of MB.03s, and a pair of MB.01s. The MB.04s draw inspiration from the turtles themselves, dropping in two mismatching colorways: Donatello x Raphael and Leonardo x Michelangelo. Each feature green multilayered overlays paired with a base, outsole, and tongue representative of the mask colors for each Ninja Turtle.
The MB.01 is based off of the villain Baxter Stockman, often depicted as an associate of Shredder in the series. The sneaker features a primarily black design with multicolored details and Baxter Stockman characteristics throughout such as on the tongue and heel of the shoe.
The MB.03 Lo comes in a “Krang” colorway, representing another well known enemy of the turtles. The shoe features a predominantly purple design with pink brain print overlays and yellow accents. The sneaker also contains Krang-themed details such as the yellow eye on the lateral side of each shoe, the Krang icon on the tongue, and TMNT x PUMA MB branding on the heel.
Those who purchase all four TMNT x PUMA MB sneakers will unlock exclusive access to a free fifth pair of TMNT MB.04s based on the arch nemesis of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Shredder. The “Shredder” colorway is limited to 444 pairs and features a metallic silver design with purple overlays. Details inspired by the infamous villain include his iconic mask on the heel and his steel claws on the lateral heels.
