Toy Story 5 hits theaters June 19th, though adidas and Foot Locker aren’t waiting for opening weekend to make their move. The Toy Story x adidas Originals collection is built around three silhouettes dressed up as the franchise’s most recognizable characters: Woody, Jessie, and Buzz Lightyear.
The Woody Samba OG is the obvious standout with a denim upper, mustard yellow Three Stripes in a grid pattern referencing Woody’s shirt, suede toe box, and a gum sole that ties the entire design together cleanly. The Jessie Samba Jane takes a different approach, leaning into the cowgirl’s softer details with cow-print paneling, denim Three Stripes, and a yellow bow on the forefoot with a pearl charm attachment. The Buzz Lightyear Adistar Control 5 gets the most maximalist treatment of the pack, going full space ranger with white and purple color-blocking, neon green accents, and “Lightyear” printed on the heel. Preschool and toddler sizes even feature LED lighting built into the midsoles. It’s loud, playful, and fully committed to the character inspiration.
All three styles are available across adult, grade school, preschool, and infant sizing, a fitting decision considering the franchise now spans multiple generations of fans. Select Foot Locker locations will also receive full in-store takeovers themed around the upcoming film.
