Influential drummer and blink-182 member Travis Barker joins forces with Vans for an Old Skool collection that celebrates decades of punk culture, sound, and style—as well as their shared Southern Californian roots.
Personally designed by Barker, the pair features black canvas uppers with the phrase “Dues Paid” across the vamps, a mantra of Travis’ which he also has tattooed across his knuckles. Barbed wire designs are featured on the foxing, joined by boombox graphics on the tongues and Travis Barker logo detailing on the heels.
The phrase “Dues Paid” reflects Barker’s relentless work ethic and legacy of perseverance. His artistry spans genres from punk and hip-hop to pop. Barker’s relationship with Vans runs deep — he’s worn the brand since his youth, through his early blink-182 days, and during legendary shows like the Vans Warped Tour. From auctioning off stage-worn Vans Authentics to starring in the Vans x FTP campaign, Barker continues to honor the brand’s skateboarding and punk DNA.
Shot by photographer and brand curator Atiba Jefferson, the campaign features Barker alongside one of New York’s boldest skateboarders, Ben Kadow. The video debuts an original track titled “Dues Paid,” written and produced by Barker specifically for this collaboration.
The Travis Barker x Vans Old Skool “Dues Paid” pair in “Black” will be available on October 23rd via vans.com (9am PT). Additionally, 50 pairs will be available exclusively at the Vans store at The Grove in Los Angeles. Barker is set to expand his Old Skool collection with new colorways, with a second drop slated for 2026. Check out the first pair below.
