Tyler, The Creator and his GOLF le FLEUR* label expand their archive-inspired Converse 1908 Series with a footwear drop featuring the introduction of the 1908 Pro Leather and new colorways of the 1908 Jogger.
Reimagining the classic ’70s basketball shoe made famous by the likes of Dr. J, Magic Johnson, and Larry Bird, the 1908 Pro Leather is a skate-ready, low-top version of the silhouette designed for a new generation. Taking cues from b-boy style and bootleg culture, the 1908 Pro Leather combines hand-picked archival design details with exaggerated proportions.
Tyler’s take on the Pro Leather features wider eyelet rows and laces, a large embossed star on the rubber toe cap, and gold foil le FLEUR* branding on the tongues and side panels. Colorways include an “Amazon” pair dressed in green suede with white leather overlays, as well as a reverse iteration with white leather uppers and green suede overlays. A third colorway in red suede has also been teased, possibly launching as a le FLEUR* exclusive as they are not currently listed on the Converse website.
Rounding out the collection are two colorways of the 1908 Jogger, each featuring full-grain leather uppers as opposed to the nylon and suede construction from previous drops. Available in black and white colorways, each pair of the sleek, ’70s-inspired jogger features a classic foam midsole and sawtooth outsole.
