Two silhouettes, one rooted in basketball, the other in ’90s running, set the tone for a new lifestyle-driven design chapter for Under Armour.
Under Armour’s HB-LO is a basketball-inspired lifestyle sneaker that sits firmly in the court-to-street category. The sneaker blends performance cues with a fashion-leaning silhouette that holds its own off the hardwood. They were shown off earlier this year when Pete Davidson appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” wearing an unreleased pair of the HB-LO in the white and ardeen green colorway. Davidson became an unofficial face of the brand after frequently wearing the UA SOLA in 2025.

A defining feature of the HB-LO is its oversized, raised TPU logos that stretch across the side panels. The branding isn’t tucked away or minimal; it’s intentionally bold, becoming part of the shoe’s architecture rather than a finishing touch.
Comfort remains central to the HB-LO design, constructed with a premium leather upper that balances durability and softness, paired with a textile heel with extra foam padding for all-day comfort. Underfoot, a plush sockliner delivers step-in comfort, while the progressive midsole design incorporates a drop-in EVA setup for a smooth, cushioned ride that transitions easily from daily wear to casual movement. A chunky rubber outsole grounds that silhouette, offering versatile traction and long-term durability.
The ARC 96 draws directly from their archives, specifically from 1996-era running silhouettes. The sneaker features a sleek, multi-mesh upper layered with full-grain leather overlays, giving it a technical yet nostalgic feel. Translucent side panels spotlight the bold logo design, which is integrated directly into the lacing system, adding both structure and visual depth.
There’s a bit of experimentation on the ARC 96 through details like its asymmetrical tongue, offering a futuristic twist on classic retro-run styling. Comfort comes from the dual-density UA HOVR midsole, delivering responsive support for all-day wear, while a full-length rubber outsole provides dependable traction and durability.
Together, the HB-LO and ARC 96 show two sides of Under Armour’s current lifestyle strategy: one pushing new, oversized forms and branding, the other reworking archival ideas through a modern lens.
The Under Armour HB-LO is slated to release on February 4th through the Under Armour website and select retailers. Meanwhile, the UA ARC 96 is available now in select stores and online. Check out the launch lineup of colorways below.
