The UNheardof x adidas Adistar Control 5 Piggy Runner 2.0 officially launches this week, and we got all of the release details.
The latest drop from Cincinnati’s UNheardof boutique introduces three new characters to the Piggy Runner universe. Porkchop, the pink piggy from last year’s Adistar Cushion 3 release, is joined by his pals Cupcake (green), Cheeseburger (Yellow), and Steve-O (Red). Each get their own colorway as part of this “Porkchop & Pals” pack, with each style limited to 2,500 pairs.
These piggies are more than just cute characters, they represent members of the ragtag crew of outcasts that UNheardof founder Phil “Porkchop” Lipschutz skated with as a teenager. Phil and his friends were seen as a nuisance by police officers and nosy neighbors, though really they were just misunderstood youth that used skating as a way to escape from reality and get away from the chaos of their homes.
The “Porkchop & Pals” pack includes three playful colorways of the Adistar Control 5, a mesh-based runner silhouette originally introduced in 2008, the same year that UNheardof first opened their doors. Premium suede overlays are paired with pink three stripes on the side panels, crafted from faux pony hair on the lateral and reflective 3M on the medial. Each features a multicolored outsole in an Easter-inspired palette of pastel hues.
All three colorways of the UNheardof x adidas Adistar Control 5 Piggy Runner 2.0 “Porkchop & Pals” pack will be available March 28th at 11am ET in-store at UNheardof in Cincinnati and online at unheardofbrand.com. Toddler sizes of the “Cupcake” colorway will also be available, limited to 500 pairs.
