Original Story (04/21/21): At the top of the year, Union Los Angeles announced a long list of collaborations planned for 2021 in celebration of the shop’s 30th anniversary. The list included a collaboration with Jordan Brand, which came as a bit of a surprise as the two released their Air Jordan 4 collab just last year. It has now been revealed that the collaboration will include a new “30th anniversary” edition of the Union x Air Jordan 4.
Featuring a similar construction as the “Off Noir” and “Guava” colorways, first images of the Union x Air Jordan 4 “30th Anniversary” reveal the shoe’s primarily grey upper. Teal accents are found on the lower lace locks and heel panel, while light blue accents are used for the branding on the folded tongue, the sockliner, and the Nike Air branding on the heel. The stitched UN/LA tag on the lateral side panel comes in a golden yellow, peaking through the translucent top lace locks. Additional hits of golden yellow are found on the insoles and outsole.
