UNION is celebrating the 35th anniversary of its Los Angeles flagship with a special collaboration alongside in・stru(men-tal)., the sub-label from Maison MIHARA YASUHIRO designer Mihara Yasuhiro. The capsule brings together UNION’s influence on streetwear with in・stru(men-tal).’s understated approach to contemporary design, resulting in a collection built around versatile staples with subtle character.

Rather than leaning on loud graphics throughout, the collection favors clean silhouettes and relaxed fits that feel equally at home on the streets of Los Angeles. Standout pieces include a black coach jacket paired with matching track pants, while graphic T-shirts feature understated branding. Short-sleeve bowling shirts and coordinating shorts offer a breezy warm-weather option, accompanied by a selection of caps that complete the capsule’s easygoing aesthetic.

The collection also includes a special-edition iteration of the Maison MIHARA YASUHIRO PETERSON low-top sneaker, reworked in UNION’s signature navy and yellow color palette. The collaborative colorway complements the apparel while putting a subtle UNION spin on one of Mihara’s most recognizable footwear designs.

The accompanying campaign, photographed throughout Los Angeles, reflects the city that has become synonymous with UNION over the past three decades. Natural tones, effortless styling, and community-driven imagery reinforce the collaboration’s focus on wearable design rather than fleeting trends.

The UNION x in・stru(men-tal). capsule launches August 7th at the UNION Los Angeles flagship, where the brands will celebrate with a launch party featuring complimentary food from a food truck and DJ sets by Chris Gibbs and Mihara Yasuhiro.
