Following the successful sold-out release of the “Irvine Green” colorway earlier this month, Melbourne-based retailer Up There and ASICS are back with part two of their GEL-KAYANO 12.1 “Natsukashii” project—this time dressed in “Glacier Grey.”
This sequel arrives in a crisp white palette, retaining the same glossy patent leather panels and red accents from the first drop—details that give the silhouette a refined look reminiscent of Prada’s America’s Cup sneaker. The mesh pattern across the upper nods to the GEL-KAYANO 20, a cult favorite among Australian runners. Underfoot, Up There’s signature green takes over the guidance line, while Signal Red rubber divides the instep for a pop of contrast. Each pair comes with two lace options and custom packaging.
The design continues to draw from the Japanese term Natsukashii, which captures the warm sense of nostalgia that comes from revisiting cherished memories.
The Up There x ASICS GEL-KAYANO 12.1 “Natsukashii” in Glacier Grey is available now via early access for those that purchased the first colorway on the Up There website. Wider availability follows on October 24th in-store at Up There, with remaining pairs available online on October 27th at 8am AEDT on uptherestore.com. Take a closer look below.
