Original Story (04/19/25): Just revealed at atmoscon in Tokyo is a new collaboration between atmos, VANDYTHEPINK, and ASICS on the GEL-NIMBUS 10.1.
Dubbed the “Banana Split” pack, the collaboration is a continuation of Vandy’s food-inspired design language, following releases such as the “Burger” Salomon Speedcross 3. The two colorways draw inspiration from ice cream flavors you would typically find on a banana split sundae. One pair features a vanilla mesh upper with banana yellow accents, while a pink-based iteration represents strawberry. Each pair features chocolatey brown accents, a touch of red for the cherry on top, and comes in banana split-themed packaging.
The VANDYTHEPINK x atmos x ASICS GEL-NIMBUS 10.1 “Banana Split” pack is currently only available at atmoscon, though a wider release is expected to take place in June. Check out both colorways below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
Update (05/23/25): Following its debut at atmoscon, more launches of the ASICS GEL-NIMBUS 10.1 “Banana Split” have now been announced. Both colorways will be available at a pop-up in NYC hosted by Complex on May 24th, as well as via a raffle on the atmos Tokyo website that closes on May 29th and on the VANDYTHEPINK website on May 30th (early access 11am ET, general release 12pm ET). VANDYTHEPINK and atmos will also be releasing an accompanying apparel collection that includes short and long-sleeve tees, trucker hats, and a tote bag.
These are the only ways to cop the “Banana” colorway, though a wider release for the “Strawberry” colorway is slated for June 13th via ASICS and select global retailers. Check out the official lookbook and product shots below.
