Virgil Abloh Archive is following-up its debut sneaker release, the V.A.A. x Air Jordan 1, with a new Nike Cryoshot collaboration, seto to launch this summer in alignment with the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
First previewed at the “Virgil Abloh: The Codes” exhibition in Paris last September, the V.A.A. x Nike Cryoshot merges Virgil Abloh’s signature design language with Nike’s new Cryoshot technology, which reimagines soccer cleats as everyday footwear. The pair features a clean white leather upper based on the Nike Tiempo, with “AIR” printed on the lateral heel and a red zip-tie on the laces—hallmark details from Abloh’s Off-White x Nike collaborations. Underfoot, the shoe incorporates cleat tooling encased in a clear “ice” sole, allowing the studs to remain visible.
V.A.A. has also teased a broader collaboration involving Nike, Team USA, and ARCHITECTURE, the agency led by husband-and-wife duo Mahfuz and Chloe Sultan, which oversees Abloh’s ongoing intellectual property and creative direction.
Look for the Virgil Abloh Archive x Nike Cryoshot Tiempo to release in the coming months on SNKRS and at select retailers. As always, stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
