Wacko Maria & Timberland Go Wild on the 3-Eye Lug

A remix from the Tokyo label with pony hair and leopard print.

It’s been a few years since Wacko Maria and Timberland first linked up, and if you thought that 2022 collab on the 2-Eye Boat Shoe was a one-time thing, think again. The Tokyo-based label is back in the Timberland universe, and this time they’ve leveled up to the heftier 3-Eye Lug.

For those who remember the original collab, the 2022 version gave us the Classic 2-Eye Boat Shoe in hairy calf leather, dressed in bold leopard print in brown and purple. It was a head-turner then, and it laid the groundwork for what’s coming next.

The 2026 follow-up keeps that same wild energy but plants it on a beefier base. The 3-Eye Lug brings a chunkier, more aggressive silhouette into the mix, a natural fit for a brand like Wacko Maria, whose whole identity thrives on turning heritage pieces into something louder. The lug sole gives the shoe a grounded, almost rugged weight that the sleeker 2-Eye never quite had.

Two colorways make up the pack. The first is a full black-on-black execution: cowhide pony hair upper, tonal laces, dark hardware, and black lug sole. No contrast or color pop, just the texture doing all the heavy lifting. The pony hair gives the shoe a richness that flat leather or suede simply can’t touch. The second option brings back the leopard print, this time splashed across that same ponyhair construction in a warm brown-and-black palette with gold brass hardware throughout. It’s unabashedly bold. Both pairs feature co-branded detailing, with the Wacko Maria nameplate on the collar and the embossed Timberland tree logo beneath the eyelets.
