Grace Wales Bonner and adidas Originals continue their partnership this season with a new selection of collaborative footwear, apparel, and accessories.
The FW24 collection is comprised of a whopping five footwear styles: a Superstar, two Sambas, and two colorways of the Samba Millennium. Each style features crocodile-printed leather uppers, while the Samba Millennium features croc print at the heel with a contrasting metallic silver and yellow leather at the forefoot.
While last season’s collection drew inspiration from East African running culture, this new collection pays homage to NYC and the foundations of hip-hop culture. The campaign, captured by Renell Medrano, is a loving reflection of New York’s iconic Harlem neighborhood and features pro skaters Carlisle Aikens and Kader Sylla. The cast are seen wearing apparel from the collection, which includes floral vests, shorts and tops, as well as signature collaborative styles like tracksuits, hoodies, and outerwear.
