When adidas and The Whitaker Group announced Do Not Duplicate back in February, we noted that the drops would be intentionally scarce, capped between 250 and 500 pairs per release to keep the emphasis on expression over access. Now the first wave has a name, a theme, and a date.
Meet the Do Not Duplicate: Houston Rodeo Pack. The choice of Houston as the platform’s first stop isn’t random. The Houston Rodeo is the largest rodeo in the world, with 2.4 million people annually, and the culture surrounding it has always been built on the same qualities Do Not Duplicate keeps circling back to: timing, discipline, and the ability to move on instinct before the moment passes.
The Houston Rodeo Pack features six styles across the F50 Adiframe, BW Army, and Handball Spezial. We see two iterations of the Handball Spezial, which comes in snakeskin with black-and-white stripes and the same snakeskin across the upper and toe, but the black-and-white stripes are inverted. The BW Army shows up most often in three treatments: a clean, white-on-white that lets the construction speak for itself; a black-and-white version with croc-embossed overlays and metal stud detailing along the toe; and a cow-print hair-on leather with brown suede. Then there’s the F50 Adiframe, which goes full send with an all-over snakeskin upper in dark grey that makes the Three Stripes branding almost disappear into the texture. A silver Do Not Duplicate chain tag ties every pair.
The EQL draws for The Whitaker Group x adidas Do Not Duplicate “Houston Rodeo” pack are now open through March 16th at 3 PM EST across A Ma Maniére, Social Status, APB, and JAIDE. Pairs will also be available online and in-store at The Whitaker Group retailers on March 20th.
