Fashion designer Willy Chavarria and adidas are bringing the heat for NBA All-Star Weekend with two footwear styles and an accompanying apparel capsule rooted in community, sport, and Los Angeles culture.
Starting off the footwear collection is the Harden Vol. 10, which James Harden wore during his debut with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The shimmering pair features a reworked molded upper dipped in an all-over sparkly silver finish and a sleek black rose bed design.
For the second pair, Chavarria teams up with the Compton Cowboys for a Western-style Superstar, complete with a suede upper, a metal shell-toe with handkerchief patterns, and co-branding on the tongue and insole. The shoe’s design draws inspiration from equestrian culture and the Cowboys’ direct work with horses.
The campaign stars members of the Compton Cowboys, seen rocking their collaborative apparel pieces from the collection, a Chino Track Jacket and matching shorts. The apparel offering also includes a pinstriped set comprised of a jersey, track jacket, and track pants, as well as a Star Logo set featuring a crewneck, tee, and shorts.
The Willy Chavarria x adidas collection featuring the Compton Cowboys will launch on February 13th, available on adidas.com, the CONFIRMED app, and at select retailers. A special release will take place in Los Angeles at the Shoe Palace Backyard Cookout, with a performance by Peso Pluma and additional exclusive activations. Check out both footwear styles below.
