Puerto Rican icon and Grammy-nominated global artist Young Miko is setting the stage for Gap’s latest campaign, “Sweats Like This,” through a new electrifying music video complete with choreography and a reimagining of her “WASSUP” song.
Directed by Bethany Vargas and shot by Olivia Malone, the music video campaign serves as both a musical ode to Latin music and fashion-driven movement, as Miko sings and dances freely in her Heavyweight and Extra Heavyweight GapSweats, Arch Logo Hoodie, and a custom cropped silhouette. The new rendition of “WASSUP” stays true to its original sound while adding a dance break sequence choreographed by Zoi Tatopoulos. The innovative dance is led by twenty-six Latin dancers, individually styled with a monochromatic look using fleece silhouettes — initiating a significant cultural moment for the artist’s roots and the celebration of Spanish-language music.
Miko’s “WASSUP” track dropped in 2025 and reached over 137 million streams on Spotify, making her sound distinct and infectious. She isn’t afraid to blend genres, from rap and hip-hop to reggaeton, or to break language barriers and use lyrics in both English and Spanish.
“Young Miko brings authenticity, confidence, and a real connection to style and self-expression,” said Fabiola Torres, Chief Marketing Officer, Gap brand. “With this campaign, we’re meeting audiences where culture is happening now through music, movement, and storytelling. Sweats like this arrives at a defining moment for Latin music — a genre that has long shaped global culture and how people dress, dance, and express themselves across generations. Music creates unity — it transcends language, sparks joy and brings people together. That shared energy is at the heart of this campaign.”
“Puerto Rico influences everything I do — the way I talk, express myself, dress, live, and see the world. It’s my home and the culture that shaped who I am today,” says Young Miko. “This music video was an amazing experience, and working with Gap felt natural because they gave me the space to express myself and my culture authentically. It’s such a beautiful way to keep showing love to a song the fans really connected with. This time there’s dancing, people sharing a new space with me, and I’m very excited for everyone to see it.”
The Young Miko x Gap “Sweats Like This” campaign is rolling out across Gap’s global media channels, including YouTube, Vevo, gap.com, as well as on billboards across LATAM, NYC, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Check out the campaign shots below.
