Following the 2022 debut of Zion Williamson’s “Voodoo” Air Jordan 1 Low OG, a second colorway is now reportedly on the way. First introduced as a PE in 2023, the “Voodoo Alternate” colorway is set to release to the public later this year.
While the “Voodoo Alternate” follows the Frankenstein-like mix of hemp textiles found in the OG “Voodoo,” the contrasting color scheme takes the sneaker into an otherworldly dimension. Deep blue and lavender hues pair with muted rope laces, plus an exclusive mini Swoosh and skull motif on the lateral toe. Nike Air tags on the tongue and the Air Jordan Wings logo on the heel tab are placed upside down for a subtle but spooky look. The mystical vibes continue with “Voodoo” and “Zion” graphics on the insoles and exposed stitching on the upper. Additional flat lace options include black, off-white, and mint green.
The spooky “Voodoo” theme of Zion’s AJ1 Low collabs pays homage to the city of New Orleans, where Zion plays for the Pelicans. In 2022, this theme was also applied to his second signature shoe, the Zion 2, which featured the same color scheme as the first “Voodoo” Jordan 1 Low.
The Zion Williamson x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Voodoo Alternate” is slated to drop on October 29th on SNKRS and at select retailers, just in time for Halloween. Check them out below.
