Japanese rock group ZUTOMAYO has teamed up with ASICS on a collaboration featuring two colorways of the GEL-KAYANO 14.
Formed in 2018, ZUTOMAYO is known for its animated music videos featuring a female character named Nuri, as the actual members of the group have chosen to remain mainly anonymous (kind of like Gorillaz for us Westerners). The two upcoming ZUTOMAYO GEL-KAYANO 14s come in colorways that match the aesthetic of Nuri, who is often depicted wearing the band’s signature colors of green, purple, and pink. One pair comes dressed primarily in cream with green and purple accents, while another comes in black with a purple sockliner and pink shank plate. Each pair features a bungee overlace system that wraps around the upper, as well as “ZTMY” branding on the lateral tag, lace jewels, and right foot insole.
The ZUTOMAYO x ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14 pack is expected to drop later this year on the ASICS website and at select retailers. Check out the official images below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
