A Ma Maniére has unveiled Act II: The Reclamation—the next chapter in its Every Summer Tells a Story campaign—featuring the all-new A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 5 “Black Collective.”

The Reclamation moves deeper into the Southern Black experience, connecting ancestral roots to contemporary expression. Where Act I brought us to The Block, Act II returns to the source: the land, the labor, and the transformation of raw material into cultural artifact.

The campaign follows Rajuma Bey, a Charlotte-based visual artist whose raw, story-driven work reclaims Black identity through mixed media, performance, and found materials. As he searches for inspiration, the story unfolds through a visual language that moves with intention—through dance, Black cowboy rodeos, Miss Juneteenth pageantry, and ethereal studio scenes. The clip is soundtracked by the unreleased original track UPDASCO, featuring Swavay, Reuben Vincent, and Marco Plus.

Headlining the drop is the A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 5 Retro “Black Collective,” crafted in premium white leather with pre-yellowed quarter panel netting, an embroidered “23” on the lateral heel, and a reflective tongue with the Jumpman on the right and A Ma Maniére’s “A” logo on the left. A quilted Violet Ore lining evokes regality and is echoed throughout the midsole, outsole, and custom box.

The AJ5 is joined by a restock of A Ma Maniére’s “White on White” Air Force 1 and “Diffused Taupe” Air Max 95 from the first Every Summer Tells A Story drop. Together, the three silhouettes channel The Reclamation’s core message: transforming cultural memory into intentional expression and honoring legacy through design, craft, and story.

The footwear is accompanied by a limited apparel offering of elevated essentials, including coordinating tees, hoodies, and shorts that mirror the collection’s refined aesthetic. Both the laces on the A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 5 and the apparel capsule are constructed from cotton sourced from Seed2Shirt’s BLACKollective. As the first Black-owned, vertically integrated apparel supply chain in the United States, Seed2Shirt works directly with Black cotton farmers, ginners, and manufacturers to reclaim agency and restore value in a system historically built on Black labor.

Raffles for the A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 5 “Black Collective,” A Ma Maniére x Nike Air Force 1 “White on White,” and the A Ma Maniére x Nike Air Max 95 “Diffused Taupe” are now open on A Ma Maniére’s EQL Runfair page and close Monday, July 21st at 3pm ET.

The full collection officially launches on Friday, July 25th at 11am ET exclusively on amamaniere.com, and at 12pm local time at all A Ma Maniére retail locations. Check out the “Black Collective” AJ5 in the campaign imagery below.
