Action Bronson is already expanding the BAKLAVA x New Balance 2811 lineup with two new colorways following the model’s debut earlier this year in the “Mikročpske.” The latest pairs are called “Blackjacques” and “The Whisperer.”
Designed by Bronson himself in collaboration with New Balance under his BAKLAVA banner, the 2811 is a silhouette built from the ground up rather than a remix of an existing New Balance model. The chunky, trail-adjacent runner sits on the same ABZORB-cushioned platform as the New Balance 2010, while its all-new upper is built with thin, layered synthetic overlays that crisscross the toe and midfoot.
“Blackjacques” takes the darker approach, covering the upper in black with a bright orange N logo for contrast. “The Whisperer” flips the formula with a mostly white upper accented by baby blue, pink, and seafoam green, while the tooling underneath switches to black.
As with the first 2811 release, the new colorways are accompanied by a short film. This time around, actress Vanessa Carlito takes the starring role, known for her appearances in crime dramas including CSI: NY and NCIS: New Orleans.
