Willy Chavarria reunites with adidas Originals for a new footwear drop, the debut of the Chavarria Megaride AG. This duo are no strangers to each other; they first teamed up for Spring/Summer 2025 with a collection featuring adidas Jabbar sneakers and have expanded on their partnership each following season.
Fresh off the heels of his FW26 Paris Fashion Week show, Chavarria is now launching the Megaride AG in two colorways, “Black” and “Cream.” Rooted in adidas’ Megaride franchise, the new model leans heavily into futuristic, almost intergalactic design language. Translucent TPU overlays, mesh foundations, and sculptural tooling give the shoe a sense of motion and density, as if form is constantly shifting. Silver-toned accents and reflective details add to that weightless, otherworldly feel, reinforcing the idea of movement beyond gravity.
Both colorways share the same core construction but diverge in mood. The “Black” colorway features a silver metal mesh across the upper, translucent Putty Grey tooling with hits of red foam on the outsole, and reflective accents throughout, including a reflective “Chavarria” on the tongue. The “Cream” colorway softens the approach with a cream mesh base, matte “Chavarria” branding down the tongue, suede accents, and subtle red hits on the outsole for contrast.
Additional colorways of the Megaride AG were previewed during Chavarria’s SS26 show back in June, including a bubblegum pink pair, a bright aqua colorway, and a black XL model, though release info for these colorways have not been announced.
Chavarria also previewed some of his upcoming apparel in collaboration with adidas Originals during his FW26 “Eterno” show. In those pieces, his Mexican roots shine proudly, with a palette of rich reds and greens shown across oversized jerseys, baggy track pants, and, of course, the Willy Chavarria x adidas Predator football boots. The range of World Cup merchandise was officially accredited by the Mexican Football Federation and was inspired by the iconic football uniforms of the past.
His shows have always been truly unlike any others. For “Eterno,” there were various performances while models and familiar faces like Julia Fox and Paloma Elsesser strutted his designs down the runway. The three-act show included performances from artists such as Mon Laferte, Lunay, Mahmood, Foos Gone Wild, Santos Bravos, Feid, and Latin Mafia, talk about a killer lineup! During the show, he also debuted his first in-house footwear, which he is teaming up with APICCAPS, the Portuguese association of leather goods and footwear, to produce.
