Sneakerheads are feasting in 2025 as Jordan Brand is pulling out all the stops for the 40th anniversary of the Air Jordan 1. There’s a ton of classic retros on the release calendar, from the AJ1 High ’85 “Bred” to the “Ferrari” 14s, all celebrating the legacy of the GOAT, Michael Jordan. Joining the lineup is the return of the fan-favorite “Black Cat” Jordan 4.

Introduced in 2006, the AJ4 “Black Cat” comes equipped with a stealthy all-black nubuck upper inspired by MJ’s panther-like precision on the court. Its first retro in 2020 was met with much excitement, with some fans paying over a grand in resell after they quickly sold out.

Another retro is now coming in 2025, though with a twist. While the OG and 2020 pair featured the Jumpman logo on the heels, the 2025 iteration is adorned with Nike Air branding, something that is usually reserved only for OG retros, collabs, and special projects. Other details on the 2025 pair include glossy black lace locks and midsole, Light Graphite Jumpman logos on the tongues, and an updated shape that more closely resembles the OG mold.

The 2025 Air Jordan 4 “Black Cat” is slated to drop on Black Friday, November 28th, via SNKRS and select retailers. Grab a first look below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
