2023 marks the 30th anniversary of the Air Jordan 8, so you know Jordan Brand will be hitting us with some OG retros and special make-ups to celebrate. This includes the return of the OG “Playoffs” colorway.
Last released in 2013, the Air Jordan 8 “Playoffs” was worn by Michael Jordan during the Bulls’ 1993 playoff run leading up to his first three-peat. The 2023 retro will remain faithful to the OG version that released in April 1993, arriving in a mostly black color scheme with red accents, brushstroke graphics on the mudguard, and multi-colored sockliner and outsole.
The Air Jordan 8 “Playoffs” is currently slated to drop on September 2nd on SNKRS and at select retailers. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for first look photos and additional updates.
