Original Story (03/11/26): Bad Bunny’s partnership with adidas began five years ago, when the star was already rising and still in his 20s. Having just turned 32, the Puerto Rican artist is expanding on his relationship with the brand with a third iteration of his BadBo 1.0 sneaker and the duo’s first collaboration on apparel.
The latest BadBo 1.0 colorway may just be the most special one yet. Rooted in heritage and neutral tones, the sneaker arrives in beige and black, with blue accents reminiscent of Puerto Rico’s clear skies and waters and a white lone star on the heel, a detail that references the island’s Grito de Lares flag. Like the two iterations before it, the pair comes in hairy suede and nubuck—premium materials that stand the test of time, representing a resilient culture and a liberated land.
The apparel capsule is comprised of sportswear pieces in a cohesive neutral palette that complements the BadBo sneaker lineup. Barrel-leg trousers, a cropped top, and a sweatshirt with a removable hood come in classic heather grey, while the signature Three Stripes are dressed in soft yellow. Subtle “adidas Para Bad Bunny” branding can also be found on the pieces.
The debut “Brown” colorway of the BadBo 1.0 surprise dropped the morning after Benito became the first Latin artist to win Artist of the Year at the Grammys. This significant timing has continued with the “White” pair, released following his Super Bowl LX halftime performance. Now, this third colorway, which is being called “Rise,” is expected to arrive to close out the artist’s birthday month.
