CLOT and adidas have been down this road before, the Espadrille Samba is already part of their shared vocabulary. This time around, Edison Chen’s label returns with three new colorways that each pull in a different direction while keeping the woven midsole, gold tongue branding and suede T-toe that made the original collaboration unique.
The pack consists of Classic Black, Grass Green, and Floral Pink, each approaching the Samba from a different angle. Classic Black keeps things straightforward with a black nylon upper and crisp white accents, leaning into the silhouette’s utilitarian roots. Grass Green pulls directly from the pitch, channeling stadium energy through a saturated green finish that feels equally at home on match day or a weekend stroll. Floral Pink is the standout of the trio. Swapping nylon for premium leather, the pastel hue takes on a softer, more elevated character that feels both delicate and grounded.
Gold branding lands on the tongue across all three, the CLOT logo stamps the heel tab and the suede T-toe stays intact. Enough familiar Samba DNA to keep things honest, but the espadrille construction running along the midsole is where CLOT makes its actual statement.
Riding alongside the footwear is the CLOT Football Club Capsule, a collection of tees, jerseys, shorts, and outerwear that mirrors the footwear’s color palette. Rose motifs, custom club crests, dragon graphics, and references to CLOT’s 2003 founding year appear throughout, transforming traditional football-inspired apparel into something more expressive. CLOT is playing loose with the idea of a football club here, and that’s exactly what makes the concept work.
