Last month, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander expanded his signature Converse SHAI 001 lineup with a PREMIUM version, dropping in a sleek navy “Ink” colorway. Now, SGA and Converse are continuing to lean toward elevated materials with the launch of the SHAI 001 PREMIUM in a sharp “Steel” colorway that takes the basketball silhouette in a more metallic direction.
The SHAI 001 “Steel” comes equipped with a metallic molded leather upper, a leather-wrapped heel overlay, and a reflective finish that mirrors the rhythm of the game, shifting from smooth play into more intense stretches.
Each pair maintains its radial traction pattern and forefoot Zoom Air feature and is completed with a metallic foil sockliner print and debossed tongue logos. It also arrives with a cotton dustbag featuring a metallic logo. The Oklahoma Thunder City guard will debut the new colorway during Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
