Original Story (05/25/25): New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson has been rocking Player Exclusive Kobe colorways throughout the NBA season, most recently debuting a Nike Kobe 6 PE inspired by the Statue of the Liberty for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Indiana Pacers. While PE’s don’t typically release to the public, this colorway will be getting a general release later this year.
Brunson’s “Statue of Liberty” Kobe 6 Protro comes dressed in Hyper Turquoise, mirroring the green verdigris patina formed on the statue’s copper surface from oxidation over the years. Metallic Copper accents are also found on the shoe—specifically on the Swooshes, heel counters, and Sheath logos on the tongues—representing how the statue looked when it first arrived in America in 1885.
The Jalen Brunson x Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Statue of Liberty” is slated to drop this Holiday 2025 season on SNKRS and at select retailers. Grab a first look below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
