Marvel x Kith x ASICS is back for a third consecutive year, this time with Capcom to present a six-piece Marvel vs. Capcom collection celebrating the iconic crossover fighting game series.
Releasing alongside action figures and a full apparel capsule, the Kith x ASICS Marvel vs. Capcom footwear includes two double boxes and two single boxes containing the GEL-KAYANO 12.1, GEL-NIMBUS 10.1, and GEL-KAYANO 14 silhouettes.
The first double box includes “Guile” and “Captain America” colorways of the GEL-KAYANO 12.1, each featuring an open mesh upper, synthetic overlays, and Kith branding on the tongue and footbed. The second double box pays homage to Iron Man and Mega Man through the GEL-NIMBUS 10.1. The “Iron Man” colorway features orange gradient ripstop underlays with red synthetic leather overlays, while the “Mega Man” is equipped with closed mesh underlays and synthetic iridescent leather overlays. Both double boxes come in custom packaging that nods to the retro arcade experience and include a special custom comic book one-shot as a gift with purchase, with the chance of receiving one of seven PSA-graded variant covers that vary in rarity.
The two single boxes hold GEL-KAYANO 14s dedicated to Wolverine and Ryu. The “Wolverine” iteration arrives in black with mesh underlays, iridescent leather overlays, and a yellow-to-blue gradient stripe logo. Meanwhile, Ryu’s pair is designed to have a distressed canvas upper and a synthetic blue heel cage, evoking the fighter’s signature gi and hadouken. All six silhouettes come with additional lace options and co-branded insoles.
To celebrate the launch, an oversized shoebox installation will be displayed at the main entrance of Shibuya PARCO in Tokyo from November 14th to 16th.
