Lyrical Lemonade returned to SeatGeek Stadium this past weekend for its seventh annual Summer Smash festival, bringing together over 100,000 fans from across the globe for a three-day celebration of hip-hop, culture, and community.

This year’s music lineup was led by headliners Don Toliver x Yeat, Future, and Young Thug, each bringing their own signature energy to the summer weekend celebration. Don Toliver and Yeat debuted their first-ever collaborative set, making headlines with their dramatic arrival—skydiving onto the festival grounds from a helicopter. Future closed out Day 2 with a career-spanning set, performing classic hits like “March Madness” as well as tracks from his latest project, Mixtape Pluto. Young Thug made his grand return to the stage to close out Day 3, marking his first-live performance in 1,193 days and his first since being released from jail. His electrifying set featured surprise guest appearances from Travis Scott and T.I., as well as the live debut of a new track with Ken Carson from his upcoming album UY SCUTI.

Chicago was well-represented in the lineup, with hometown sets from the likes of Saba and G Herbo (joined onstage by his son Yosohn), plus up-and-comers such as thirteendegrees °, Adamn Killa, and XXL Freshman BabyChiefDoit. Fans were also treated to a special set from Chance the Rapper, who announced a July release for his long-awaited album STAR LINE and debuted a new track from it called “Tree,” which will feature Smino and Lil Wayne.

In honor of Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, Modern Notoriety was in attendance to talk mental wellness with some of the artists.
