Molly-Mae Hague’s adidas Originals project is finally landing stateside. The UK influencer and businesswoman first put her name on a Samba and Superstar pairing earlier this year through JD Sports in the UK, and now U.S. shoppers are getting the same two pairs.
For anyone who doesn’t follow British reality TV or influencer culture, Molly-Mae is worth the quick background. She broke through in 2019 as the runner-up on season five of Love Island UK, then built that platform into a business empire. She’s logged time as PrettyLittleThing’s creative director, launched her own tanning and cosmetics line under MMH Group Holdings, and started an apparel label called Maebe. She’s also written a memoir, starred in an Amazon Prime docuseries, and earlier this year became the first former Love Island contestant to land on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list.
The two sneakers lean into a coffee-shop palette that fits her lifestyle-brand instincts. The Samba features a Magic Lime suede upper — a soft, muted green rather than anything neon — with off-white stripes, a heel tab, and a gum sole that keeps the shoe true to the original terrace silhouette. The Superstar takes the opposite tone, working in cream leather with brown and white suede stripes and a matching brown heel patch.
The detail carried across both pairs is the lacing. Rather than a single set, each shoe ships with two: the Samba pairs its usual white laces with a baby-pink set, while the Superstar swaps in a darker brown lace alongside its cream default. It’s a small styling choice, but it’s the one place where both shoes visibly connect. The “Matcha” also offers Magic Lime colored laces.
