It looks like a handful of NBA and WNBA stars are joining LeBron James on screen in the upcoming Space Jam sequel. According to NBA insider Shams Charania, Damian Lillard, Anthony Davis, and Klay Thompson are all expected to play key roles in the film. A few WNBA players are also said to be a part of the film, including Diana Taurasi and the Ogwumike sisters, Chiney and Nneka.
Filming for Space Jam 2 is expected to start this NBA offseason. Now that LeBron James and Anthony Davis are both on the Lakers, this gives the two stars a chance to build some chemistry off the court. Look for Space Jam 2 to hit theaters in 2021.
