Since their introduction into the sneaker scene in recent years, Nike’s Flyknit and Flywire technologies are increasingly integrated into existing models, clearly showing a new standard in the company’s design process. New images of the Nike Free Run 5.0 surfaced, and in this version we see a drastic departure from the existing model. Visually, the new model has a striking resemblance to the recently updated Flyknit Lunar 2. According to the images below, this version will feature a knit sandwich mesh upper with no-sew overlays and will use Flywire cables to wrap the foot, creating a more supportive upper than previous Free Run models. Updates also include a more streamlined sole, allowing the shoe to weigh in at a light 8.2oz with an off-set of 8mm. Stay tuned with Modern Notoriety for more information on this future drop.
