Some sneakers will never go out of style. The Nike Air Force 1 “Triple White” has been a constant for more than four decades, worn by everyone from athletes and artists to everyday sneaker fans who appreciate its simplicity. Now, Nike is revisiting one of the silhouette’s most beloved eras with the release of the Air Force 1 ’01 “Triple White.”
Rather than reinventing a classic, Nike has refined it. This updated version takes inspiration from the Air Force 1s produced in 2001, a version long favored by collectors for its more athletic look and refined build. Compared to the modern Air Force 1 ’07 that dominates shelves today, the Air Force 1 ’01 features a narrower toe box, a slightly lower profile, sturdier construction, and an overall fit that many longtime fans consider more comfortable.
The updates extend beyond the shape. Nike has also improved the overall build with sturdier construction and premium materials, giving the sneaker a more substantial feel in hand while maintaining the clean, versatile look that made the all-white Air Force 1 a staple in the first place. Underfoot, the shoe retains its signature Air cushioning, now paired with a more comfortable fit designed for everyday wear.
Nike reintroduced the coveted ’01 shape earlier this year through a collaboration with NIGO, giving a new generation a taste of the Air Force 1’s earlier era. Now, the sportswear giant is bringing that same updated tooling to its most essential colorway, allowing purists to experience the silhouette as they remember it.
The Nike Air Force 1 ’01 “Triple White” is slated to drop this July on SNKRS and at select retailers. Grab an early look below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
