Caitlin Clark is bringing her longtime Kansas City Chiefs fandom to her signature sneaker with the upcoming Nike Caitlin 1 “Sea of Red.” Clark recently debuted the new colorway on-court, which draws from the team’s familiar red-and-gold palette without using any official Chiefs or NFL branding.
The pair is dressed primarily in bright red, with gold accents appearing across the midsole and outsole. Black breaks up the upper through the chrome double Swoosh, rounded out with an added metallic touch for Clark’s signature branding on the tongue.
Clark has supported the Chiefs since she was young, making the colorway a natural extension of the personal storytelling Nike has incorporated into the Caitlin 1. She has already gifted the shoes to Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, making him the first person in the world besides Caitlin with a pair.
The “Sea of Red” joins a growing lineup of Caitlin 1 colorways inspired by Clark’s interests and personal life outside of basketball, rather than simply serving as seasonal updates.
The Nike Caitlin 1 “Sea of Red” is slated to drop on December 21st via Nike.com, SNKRS, and select retailers. Check out Caitlin Clark wearing the pair below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for official release details.
