Nike has officially unveiled its next Kobe release: the Kobe 3 Low Protro “Pink Quartz,” a colorway inspired by Kobe Bryant’s early years with the Los Angeles Lakers and the team’s time at the iconic The Forum.

The sneaker features a soft pink color scheme with subtle iridescent detailing, designed to shine on today’s courts while honoring Bryant’s first three seasons in Los Angeles. The “Pink Quartz” hue specifically nods to the signature pink glow of the lights outside The Forum, a visual staple of the arena during the Lakers’ era there before the franchise moved to the Staples Center.

The colorway is also known by the alternate nickname “Mamba Magic,” referencing how Kobe seemed to create magic every time he stepped on the court, regardless of the venue.

The pair has also just made its on-court debut thanks to Jalen Brunson, who laced up the “Pink Quartz” Kobe 3 Low during today’s matchup between the New York Knicks and the Los Angeles Lakers. Brunson has become the unofficial face of the Nike Kobe line over the past year and is expected to release his own Kobe 3 Low Protro PE later this year.

The Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro “Pink Quartz” is set to release on March 13th via SNKRS and select retailers. Check out the official images below.
