After debuting their Nike partnership with a P90 collection, London-based skate and streetwear brand Palace Skateboards is keeping the momentum going with a pack of Air Max DN8s comprised of three colorways.
Arriving in “Safety Orange,” “Black,” and “Dusty Grey,” each pair is adorned with lightning detailing and cloud patterns, a reference to the Air Max Plus “Eclair” (aka “Lightning”) originally released in 2000. The “Safety Orange” pair has hints of yellow and gray, while the other two pairs opt for a dual-tone look with pops of orange, creating a cohesive aesthetic to complement the Palace and Swoosh branding. Two dual-pressure Air units and eight Dynamic Air technology tubes ensure comfort and durability for any time of day.
Dropping alongside the footwear is a set of jerseys celebrating Palace stores worldwide, including locations in Apgujeong, Fukuoka, Soho, New York, and more.
The accompanying campaign stars skater Ville Wester and Rocky the Dog, where Wester drops Rocky off with a mysterious companion in knight gear. The ominous character channels his strength amid the cloudy weather, with bolts of lightning emerging from the sky and activating into the sneaker’s core. Rocky sees himself transform into a beast — all thanks to the power of music and lightning-infused shoes.
The Palace x Nike Air Max DN8 collection will be available December 12th on the Palace website (11am ET) and at Palace store locations. The “Safety Orange” and “Black” colorways will also release on SNKRS on December 17th, while the “Particle Grey” colorway will remain Palace exclusive. Check out all three pairs below.
