Just days after the 30th anniversary Pokémon x adidas collection brought several fan-favorite characters into the adidas Originals lineup, the two are already back with another release. This time, Pikachu takes over the Megaride F50, giving the silhouette a bright and energetic makeover inspired by the electric mouse Pokémon.
The upper features a striking 3D haptic lightning print designed to mimic Pikachu’s electric powers. The graphics emerge from Pikachu’s cheeks on the heel tab before extending across the shoe, creating the look of electricity surging through the upper. A transparent TPU heel plate adds another futuristic touch, while Pokémon-branded laces and two interchangeable outsoles give the shoe some extra collectible details.
The shoes also come with special-edition packaging, with a Master Ball incorporated into the shoebox design.
The model in the lookbook for this release pairs the shoes with an all-black leather jacket that features a textured, embossed Pikachu graphic on the back. It is yet to be revealed if this piece will release to the public.
