Pokémon continues its 30th anniversary festivities with a second LEGO collaboration drop, this time featuring twelve SMART Play building sets.
Unlike the three LEGO sets that released earlier this year, the new lineup incorporates LEGO’s SMART Play System technology, allowing the builds to respond to how kids play through light, sound, motion, and sensing, all without screens. This extra layer of interactivity is powered by the LEGO SMART Brick, which comes included with the two All-In-One sets: the Training House with Pikachu set (includes 1 SMART Brick, 4 Tags, 1 Figure, and a Charger) and the Charizard vs. Jolteon Ultimate Battle set (includes 2 SMART Bricks, 4 Tags, 2 Figures, and a Charger).
The remaining ten sets are LEGO SMART Play Compatible, designed to expand the play experience, each including at least one or more SMART Tags, but not a SMART Brick. Featured Pokémon in these sets include the Kanto starters (Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander), the three Paldean starters (Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly), Jigglypuff, Mewtwo, Mew, Lapras, Gengar, Eevee, and more.
In addition to the twelve purchasable sets, the collection also includes a gift-with-purchase offering: “Ditto as Squirtle: Movie Night.” Those who spend $130 or more on LEGO Pokémon preorder products from the Pokémon Center will receive this set free of charge. This offer is available to US and UK customers from now through the end of the year, or while supplies last.
The Pokémon x LEGO SMART Play sets are now available for pre-order online via LEGO.com and Pokémon Center. The full collection will officially launch on August 1st via LEGO.com, LEGO Stores, and select retailers. Check out the complete lineup below.
