PUMA is bringing Pokémon to the hardwood. Along with the “Day & Night” lifestyle collection, PUMA Hoops is also celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise with an All-Pro NITRO 2 — and Pikachu is front and center.
The shoe goes all-in on the theme without losing sight of the performance details. The lightweight PWR Print upper features a lightning-bolt overlay running across the lateral panel and a red suede pull tab at the heel representing Pikachu’s cheeks. Flip it over, and the Pokémon co-branding continues on the insole, while a Pikachu graphic sits inside the collar — the kind of detail you’d only catch once the shoe is on your foot. It all comes packed in a custom Pikachu shoebox, yellow with lightning bolt graphics across the sides.
The Hoops drop also includes its own apparel capsule. Tees, shorts, and a jersey all lean into franchise iconography — graffiti-style lettering, galaxy-printed mesh, and character graphics featuring Pikachu, Mew, Squirtle, Charmander, and Bulbasaur, all with their respective numbers. The all-over cosmic print jersey featuring Mewtwo and the matching shorts are the standout pieces, finished with Pokéball-inspired red and white trim.
