Japanese contemporary artist Takashi Murakami reunites with CASETiFY for the second chapter of their highly successful “FLOWERS BLOOM” collection, presenting a new series of special products and limited edition phone cases.
The second drop features the coveted FLOWERS RIPPLE PHONE CASE, a special blind box that offers a playful approach for collectors and art enthusiasts alike. Collectors may purchase individual blind boxes or acquire a set of four, increasing their chances of receiving the RAINBOW case as a coveted rare variant, and the shimmering FLOWERS 18K GOLD PLATE PHONE CASE as an ultra-rare version.
Other products include the FLOWERIAN EARBUDS CASE which features Murakami’s FLOWERIAN motif— both functional and collectible, the piece brings a touch of Murakami’s iconography into the everyday. Fans can also charge their device with Murakami’s FLOWER-themed silicone Magnetic Wireless Charger, arriving in five colorways. A limited-edition FLOWERS PHONE CHARM featuring a variety of colored flowers and soft-touch silicone beads adds an extra layer of creative flair.
Collectors will have the chance to try their luck with the FLOWERIAN DANGLER BLIND BOX. This collectible item features a small FLOWERIAN figure designed to attach to a wide range of phone cases or devices. Each blind box contains one of five colorways: Rainbow, Pink, Blue, Red, and Black.
The new travel range includes the Bounce Suitcase, which draws its design inspiration from the Essentials by CASETiFY™ ripple case, integrating Murakami’s FLOWER artwork onto the suitcase’s rippled shell. This luggage is available in check-in size and comes in five distinct colorways, including the new Pink edition.
As part of this release, CASETiFY members will have the chance to win a highly prized TAKASHI MURAKAMI x CASETiFY: FLOWERS BLOOM promo card offered as a gift with purchase per limited edition product, both in-store and online. Customers who buy the FLOWERS RIPPLE PHONE CASE 4-IN-1-BLIND BOX or FLOWERIAN DANGLER 4-IN-1 BLIND BOX sets will receive four cards. The cards will be available in Black, Red, Blue, and Pink, alongside a rare Rainbow card and an ultra-rare Gold card.
FLOWERS, one of Murakami’s most recognizable motifs, draws inspiration from his studies of Nihonga (Japanese painting), while also nodding to the classical theme of “setsugetsuka” (snow, moon, flowers). By reinterpreting these traditional forms and connecting them to contemporary art, Murakami developed his own iteration of FLOWERS, which embodies his concept of “Superflat.” The use of gold in particular pays homage to the refined technique of gold foil in traditional Japanese art, a theme Murakami has often referenced to bridge historical aesthetics with contemporary culture.
To celebrate the second drop of the collection, the duo will host pop-up takeovers at Hong Kong-based retail hub Lee Gardens and Hysan Place, PARCO in Shibuya, Tokyo and multiple stores in SoHo, New York City.
