Sony producer Amy Pascal has officially confirmed that Tom Hardy will return as the long-tongued villain in the upcoming Venom film. In an interview with Fandango she confirms Hardy will be back to play Venom “as no one else can.” Pascal also mentioned plans to work with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in the future but didn’t confirm if he’d appear in the upcoming sequel or on a later film.
Although it received generally negative reviews, Venom was still able to amass $205 million USD in its box office debut. A Tom Holland appearance in the sequel could cause a boost in both reviews and earnings.
